Research Fellow

Responsibilities:

·        Be a part of AI team and work at various IoT, multimedia and Industry 4.0 projects.

·        Work with agile development methodologies.

·        Work closely with domain experts.

·        Conduct research in one of these areas of multimedia, IoT, Cloud Computing, BigData, AI.

·        Develop proof of concept solutions to research problems.

·        Generate high quality proposals, publications and/or patents at national and international levels

Vestel is searching for scientists to be employed at Vestek at ITU Ayazaga Kampusu. Successful candidate will be part of Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence team.

Qualifications:

·        A Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another quantitative field.

·        Research and development experience in at least one of these areas, computer vision, machine learning, data mining, multimedia and virtual reality concepts and application of computational algorithms into complex problems as well as development of overall system prototypes.

·        Proficiency in conducting research into state of the art in one of the  above mentioned scientific fields, writing research grants, preferably experienced in national and European research funding programs.

·        Technical fluency; comfortable understanding and discussing architectural concepts and algorithms, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.

·        Ability to work with different research projects ranging form health, multimedia to industrial automation with embdeded devices within agile and flexible frameworks.

·        Coding skills with C++, Phyton, Java or similar programming languages.

·        Experience in computer vision and machine learning services at GCP, AWS and Azure is a huge plus.

·        Excellent command of written and verbal English,

·        Have outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and be a strong team player.
